RCCG, Power of Jehovah, Essex was established on the 12th of March 2006 by RCCG, Power of Jehovah, Woolwich. The parish was founded under the leadership of Pastor Olu Awopetu and late Pastor (Mrs) Tolu Awopetu who served as the Pastors in Charge. The church began with fewer than twenty members in attendance and has been steadily growing ever since.

The passion of RCCG, POJ Essex is to see the growth and development of individuals. Most especially it is passionate about youths and committed in seeing the youths become champions and helping them to maximise their potentials.

The Church stands upon an unshakable altar—prayer and the undiluted counsel of God—and from this holy foundation, a mighty sound is rising in the spirit.  Clothed with authority, filled with fire, and driven by divine purpose, we rise to advance His kingdom, push back darkness, and proclaim liberty to a generation ordained for transformation.

We carry a divine mandate—to make heaven and bring multitudes with us. With holiness as our lifestyle and unwavering devotion to God, we rise to spread His kingdom, planting His presence in every family, every city, and every nation. With urgency and precision, we will establish His Church within reach of all people, ensuring no soul is left untouched. We will not relent, we will not grow weary, until every nation encounters the light of Jesus Christ and the earth is filled with His glory.
